The three pictures below (A, B and C) show the same 10 L box at three different times. At time A the box contains 5 L of water and 5 L of O2. At time B the O2 has been replaced with N2, and at time C the N2 has been replaced with air.

The pressure above the water is always 1 atm and the system is always at 20o

Remember that the water in each case is the same! (There’s HW magic here – imagine the gases can be switched instantaneously without any leaks or issues).

At one atmosphere the solubility of pure oxygen in water is 46 mg/L if the water contains no dissolved solids.

Find the concentration of oxygen dissolved in the water at times A, B and C.
