Answer: The nurse take care of the patient, provide treatment as well as counselling to the patient. There are various kind of activities which the nurse perform and may put them on risk of infection. The nurse while taking care of the patient suffering from tuberculosis could be at major risk of developing communicable disease.

It is important for the nurse to perform care according to the particular standards of care. The nurse should wear proper gloves, masks as well as apron before assessment of the patient. These safety precautions should be taken by the nurse to prevent themselves from infection. The nurse should wash their hands before and after providing care to the patient. Gloves and mask should be removed properly as well as the apron. This will reduce the risk. The nurse should not come in contact with the bodily fluids of the patients.
