Answer #1

Ans :- YES, the reaction takes place and the balance chemical reaction is :

Pb(CH3COO)2 (aq) + ZnBr2 (aq) ----------------> PbBr2 (s) + Zn(CH3COO)2 (aq)

Where,

Pb(CH3COO)2 (aq) = Soluble salt (Completely dissociated)

ZnBr2 (aq) = Soluble salt (Completely dissociated)

Zn(CH3COO)2 (aq)= Soluble salt (Completely dissociated) and

PbBr2 (s)= Insoluble salt (Partially dissociated)

Complete ionic reaction is :

Pb2+ (aq) + 2 CH3COO- (aq) + Zn2+ (aq) + 2 Br-(aq) ----------------> PbBr2 (s) + Zn2+ (aq) +  2 CH3COO- (aq)

CH3COO- and Zn2+ are spectator ions, therefore they are cancelled in the net ionic equation.

So,

Net ionic equation is :

Pb2+ (aq) + 2 Br-(aq) ----------------> PbBr2 (s)
