Explain what is meant by the terms "reliability and validity" in relation to assessment tools?

The reliability and validity of the assesment tools are observed as the 2 major features of a well examined assessment.

* The Validity means the degree in which a procedure evaluate what that claims or plan to evaluate.There are 3 kinds of validity and they are,

1) Content validity means the evaluation procedure equals the themes of work.

2) The criterion validity,that associated to if the evaluation method is clear in terms of plan of action corresponding with specific behaviours.

3) Construct Validity,that associate to whether the result follow item being examined.

The evaluation on the basis of functioning are commonly considered as giving further logical data than the conventional evaluations because they aim straightly on the function or abilities of the practice.

* The Reliability means,the range to which an evaluation or instrument procedure calculate regularly the capabilities of student.The evaluations are normally expected to make similar results,with regular quality over time and among separate trainees and assessors .
