How would using the SEM provide information that can help you with identifying which organism is causing a disease? Would you be able to tell the difference between two different rod-shaped bacteria (say E. coli and Salmonella) using SEM? Or is there another type of microscope that could help you do that?

Answer: The SEM can provide information regarding the identification of the organisms causing disease as it has high intensity if depth focus. Electron microscope can be also used to differentiate the bacterias.

The SEM can be used to identify the thin species such as moleules- tissues by electron passing through it generates the projection- It has great depth of focus, so, it enables to identify the organism. V V It can be used to differentiate the Pseudomonas and Salmonella There will be difference in the pattern of flagella in E. coli. In E. Coli there will be flagella on the polar lophotrichos i.e. bresent in one end. Pa In case of salmonella, the Hlagella will be around the bacterium.
