Describe how the client/patient’s learning style and preference will impact on the way in which you will provide your instruction. Include any factors you would consider, adaptations you would make and resources you might use to assist in this process. In addition, discuss how your own learning style and preference may be a factor as well.

Nurses play an important role to enhance patient's education. For effective patient teaching, the nurse has to identify the individual patient and their learning preferences. The nurse has to understand the individual style of learning behavior and the patient's level of learning and involvement education. Nurses should use tools and tactics that motivate the client for education.

Based on the findings, the nurse must use common words and avoid medical terminology or complex words. Using of different aids stimulates the patient's interest in education. Assessment should also include the patient physical and mental ability and the environment of learning. The involvement of family members also encourages the patient for effective learning. Cultural factors should also consider before the teaching initiated. Verbal type of learning style along with discussion method is my own learning style which helps the patient to be more involved and to clarify their doubts. Review of literature helps to gain mass knowledge on the subject and to teach the patient accordingly.
