For those unfamiliar with Microsoft Excel, this introduction will be very useful. Those familiar with Microsoft Excel may skim this section. This lab will use Excel, as you will have a lot of data and calculations to keep organized and Excel is excellent for that. If you wish to perform a calculation, you must begin the calculation with an equals sign (). This is Excel's magic "we're doing math, now" button. For example, if you wished to multiply 6 times 7, the syntax is: -6*7 If you have a value in one cell you wish to divide by a value in another cell, you can do this very easily by pressing the equals sign and clicking on the appropriate cells and inserting the appropriate operations For instance, to divide the value in cell A1 by the value in cell B1, you would do: 73 14EA1/B1 Press Enter and this will return: 4A 73 14 5.214286 You can do all of the calculations required for this lab in Excel in the provided tables. One last piece of advice regarding calculations in Excel: use parentheses liberally! The extra effort required to keep track of all open parentheses will pay off when your calculations process error-free and return the correct answer. Question 1.
