1. John's colleagues will feel bad as well as neutral about this
situation, Bad over dealings of the managerial activities of the
company as they were not treated equally as John whereas all of
them has to undergo for special training in order to handle or use
the machines properly whereas John has been treated extra special
by the company and was offered the bonus as well whereas the
company cancelled the annual productivity bonus of younger
workers.
But at the same time, John's colleagues will feel neutral
considering John's behaviour, age and his experience.
2. Yes, John may feel singled out by being treated differently from the others as despite getting complaints from the other car companies regarding the production errors the company offered him The annual productivity bonus whereas the company cancelled the bonus his colleagues.
3. This may cause conflicts between the work team in the near future as the majority of the workers were retrained and dealt uncompromisingly by the company but on the other hand only a single person i.e. John has been offered by the special treatment by the company although considering his age and experience, This kinds of practices in an organisation can harm the healthy functioning of the company may lead to a slacking or unproductive workforce which will eventually taper the revenue of the organization.
4. It will be hard for John to be productive if he doesn't go through the training as no matter how hard working or experienced John is, If he doesn't have the perfect knowledge of handling or using the machines properly he may not be able to give positive results and may harm the revenue of the company as there is a possibility that may damage the car parts or machinery and if this happens, again and again, the company won't be able to achieve the standards in terms of maintaining quality and the organization won't be able to reach its desired goal.
5. From my point of view, the Quality control manager is guilty of age discrimination as this violates the basic feature of the business management i.e. "Maintaining Equality ". No matter how experienced or old the employee is the manager must treat all of its employees equally and in this case, the quality control manager must have offered the annual productivity bonus to all of his workers in order to safeguard the reputation of the company, However, John was specially treated and this may affect the morale of the younger workers in the organization which may affect their productivity and may not perform with all of their potentials, This affects the harmony and healthy functioning of the organization which can throw a businessman out of the market as the workers must be treated as the assets of the organization and without them a business cannot survive.
