When taking measurements with any measuring tool, is there a rule that says you should always record the unit of measurement? Why?
While measuring a quantity we compare its value with standard
unit
Across the world people use different units to measure same
quantity. For example distance is measured in KM in many part
of the world<In U.S distance is measured in miles. So when
someone says distance is 5 it wont make sense to people and
the number itself become meaningless without unit.
In lab also we can measure same thing using different
units
For example length is measured in m,cm,mm etc
In calculation part there will be a mix of units. and
units must be equal in both sides of the final equation. If you
wont
use proper unit your final result will be wrong.
So we should always mention the unit while recording the data
THANK YOU!

When taking measurements, measurement loading is always a concern. When voltage or current measurements are off target due to loading, what can be done to obtain more accurate results? Please give a few suggestions.
The error in a measurement should be multiplied by the number of times the measuring tool is used. Keep this in my which of the following is the correct volume reported with error when a 50-ml graduated cylinder is used to measure 250 ml of water. 250.0 +/- 2.0ml 250 +/- 2mL 250.0 +/- 2mL 250 +/- 0.4ml none of the choices
When taking care of a depressed client, they should always be evaluated for a risk for suicide. You are spending time with Mr. Plotsky, who is being given a workup for depression. He avoids eye contact, he slouches in his seat, and his expression appears blank, but sad. Mr. Plotsky has suffered from numerous bouts of major depression in the past and says to you, “This will be my last depression. I will never go through this again.” What is the difference between...
why
should you disconnect the leads prior to changing scales when
measuring current?
Why should you disconnect the leads prior to changing scales when measuring current?
In this experiment you will be measuring the resistance of several resistors by measuring the voltage across the resistor and the current through the resistor at the same. When carrying out measurements like this, you always have to be careful that your measuring doesn’t effect the experiment too much, or that if it does, you can correct for it. Current actually passes through both the ammeter and the voltmeter. Each device also has an intrinsic resistance. You may want to...

Objective: The aim of this lab is to practice recording measurements with the correct precision. Procedure: Several stations have been set up in this virtual lab. For each station, click on the measuring tool link, read the directions, and read the measurements according to the directions. Record this measurements with the correct units in the slot in your data table that corresponds to the station number. Remember to estimate to 1 place of uncertainty for each measurement. Then determine the...

1. When measuring the inner and outer diameters of the hollow block, what were the main sources of experimental error? Group these errors into those that are systematic and those that are random. 2. How could you improve the measurement of the block diameters? In particular, consider how to improve the accuracy of the average value of diameter and how to reduce the uncertainty in the measurement. 3. To how many significant figures can you state the volume of material...
