Nihilism is a philosophical doctrine which argues that being specially past and current human existence, is without objective meaning, purpose, comprehensible truth, or essential value. It also negates the existence of a creator or "god" per se due to the lack of evidence. It claims that true morality does not exist and secular ethics are impossible to implement. This means that no action can be considered better than another in terms of maing 'ethical' choices. It has been debated about due to it's extreme view on the pointless and purposeless existence of beings.Literature and music thematically deal with nihilism, especially contemporary literature and music, wherein the uncertainty following modernism's demise is explored in detail.
