Answer #1

Answer: -

  • Thermal conductivity of clear acrylic = 0.2 W/mK .
  • Thermal conductivity of the black timber lie in the range of 0.15 to 0.17 W/mK .

Black timber has the lower value of thermal conductivity value

Higher the thermal conductivity , higher is the rate of heat transfer and lesser is the insulating behaviour so black timber is the better insulator than clear acrylic because of low value of thermal conductivity .
