Answer #2

SOLUTION :

5x^2 - 55x - 30 = 0

Add 5 * (11/2)^2 on both sides   :                           (ANSWER)

=> 5x^2 - 55x + 5(11/2)^2 - 30 = 5(11/2)^2

=> 5(x^2 - 11x + (11/2)^2) - 5 * 6 = 5(11/2)^2

Divide by 5 :

=> x^2 - 11x + (11/2)^2 - 6 = (11/2)^2

=> (x - 11/2)^2 = 6 + (11/2)^2 = 145/4

=> x - 11/2 = +/- sqrt(145/4)

=> x = 11/2 - sqrt(145)/2 , 11/2 + sqrt(145)/2           (ANSWER).
