Answer #1

When you are closer to the surface of earth you feel greater gravitational force. Due to rotation of earth there is a bulge on earth's equator. So at the equator gravitational force is smaller because there you are relatively higher to the surface in compared to the pole. Hence gravity slows down the clock on the equator, since there is lower gravitational force so it ticks more slowly , and it registers shorter time in compared to the clock on the pole.

Option A is correct.

BOX 5.1 The Polar Coordinate Basis Consider ordinary polar coordinates r and 0 (see figure 5.3). Note that the distance between two points with the same r coordinate but separated by an infinitesimal step do in 0 is r do (by the definition of angle). So there are (at least) two ways to define a basis vector for the direction (which we define to be tangent to the r = constant curve): (1) we could define a basis vector es...

Risk management in Information Security today Everyday information security professionals are bombarded with marketing messages around risk and threat management, fostering an environment in which objectives seem clear: manage risk, manage threat, stop attacks, identify attackers. These objectives aren't wrong, but they are fundamentally misleading. In this session we'll examine the state of the information security industry in order to understand how the current climate fails to address the true needs of the business. We'll use those lessons as a foundation...
