Answer #1

FALSE

Jasmonic acid is not found in insect saliva. It is synthesized by the plant in response to insect-eating on plants. Feeding of insects on plants activates the salicylic acid pathway which leads expression of the gene responsible for jasmonic acid synthesis. Jasmonic acid is responsible for systemic acquired resistance in plants.
