This is for a debate assignment. I need a opening statement and some facts. I am on the CON side for this not the pro side.

4) Bison carry brucellosis, a bacterial disease that can be transmitted to livestock. In order to avoid transmission to livestock, any Bison leaving the park are captured and slaughtered for meat. Vaccines have been proposed as an option to help stop the potential spread of the disease. Is this a feasible option? Brucellosis is a disease originated in the cattle amd affects the humans by coming in contact. This disease can spread easily.

If an animal is provided with vaccines before the infection, then the animal will have less chances of being affected. But if affected, they may cause the spread of the disease when coming in contact by any method.

So if we eat meat or milks of the infected animal, then we will have chances to develop the disease. For example by taking non pasteurised milk from them can spread the disease. Similarly eating the meat can transmit the pathogens directly.
