Extrinsic barriers.
These are those factors that arise outside the learner, but impact on his or her learning. They may arise from the family and its cultural, social and economic context and include lack of parental involvement in education and family problems like divorce, death, and violence.
2.Intrinsic barriers.
These factors include physical, sensory, and neurological and developmental impairments, chronic illness, psycho-social disturbances and differing intellectual ability. They arise outside the learner, but impact on his or her learning.
3.Curriculum differentiation.
This involves the structuring of lesson plans, rubrics, etc., for specific students based on their individual aptitude.
4. Inclusive learning environment
An inclusive classroom is one that creates a supportive environment for all learners, including those with learning differences and one that can also challenge and engage gifted and talented learners by building a more responsive learning environment. Therefore, an inclusive environment is one where everyone feels valued.
5. Individual support plan
This is the framework that describes the individual and their needed supports and services.
