• Cupric chloride injection USP : contains copper 0.4 mg/ml non pyrogenic solution which is used as additive to intravenous solution for total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
• BVP copper suspension for injection (20 mg/ ml)-used for the prevention and treatment of copper deficiency in cattle and sheep.

This combined injectable contraceptive ( estrogen and progestin) are effective in preventing pregnancy and can be stopped when a women wants to become pregnant. They work by preventing ovulation. They also change the lining of the uterus to prevent pregnancy from developing and change the mucus at the cervix to prevent sperm entry.eg; Cyclofem , mesigyna.

Birth control shots are more effective than pills.A person need to take birth control pill at the same time each day.If the dose is missed , the chance of failure of therapy is high.In case of Shots ,a person will receive injection of hormone every 3 months. In case of injection they are directly entering the systemic circulation and more effective and rapidly acting.

Progestins alone can be used as contraceptive. The injectable contraceptive depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) and norethisterone enanthate (NET -EN) contain progestin.eg ; Depo - Provera , Noristerat. But combined injectable are more effective ,they don't require daily administration or use at time of coitus.
