Which of the super trends are driving H-P to change?
The revenues of HP peaked in 2011 and dropped every preceding year. HP had two quarters of growth in 2014 on the positive side. HP is facing intense pressure from competitors such as dell and other companies that offer a range of varieties. HP is facing radical technological changes from companies such as Google, Facebook and drop box through which sharing of data is much easier and cheap as documents are now shared not printed it has caused decrease in sales of HP printers. In order to keep the pace up HP is now opting for emerging markets such as tablets. Now HP is trying to go for cost cutting by planning lay off some employees. This cost cutting might be an opportunity to make it more quick and flexible. HP has estimated that the company can save on cutting jobs about $1 billion and plan and to spend all this money on new and effective technology and skills to enhance growth.
