Describe what are the major problem about sport specialization that are facing youth sports today and then discuss possible solutions or recommendations to decrease the problem you selected.

It's about winning, not having fun. Many have lost sight of why team sports began. "The mission of the US Youth Soccer organization is to promote physical, mental and emotional development. Our task is to create it enjoyable too, and to instill a lifelong passion for sport in young players.These mission statements are the reason why so many parents, trainers and volunteers decide to spend time with sporting kids. Many of these adults and children somewhere in the process forget that having fun is more important than winning. The odds of the professional sports dreams of a child are slim so parents should spend more time helping him or her to enjoy the game while he or she is young.

Children's performance becomes more crucial than their health. While the economic expenses of youth sports continue to increase, there is a much greater concern about the risk of injury and not proper care for these young bodies. What cost will parents pay for their kid to excel in their selection of sport? Is the time spent by these kids on excessive practice depending on their age?

We need to be more concerned about a child’s lifelong health instead of his or her (or a parent’s) temporary sports aspirations

Many youth sports programs start training academies for kids to develop their abilities as soon as the age of 6. If kids don't start out at these specialized training academies, parents worry their kids will miss the chance to play competitive sports when the opportunity arises, many as early as 9 years old.Before they are even preteens, children are compelled to "specialize" or select one sport. They rarely get a chance to experience countless sports as trainers expect undivided attention to the sport they coach. Time and money commitments make playing more than one sport almost impossible for kids.
