write a script in Linux which executes these commands;
1- Open the written document
2- Copy the attribute and last time of modification
(The script should run both commands at the same time)

By written document I mean a simple txt file and the attribute of that file.

Create a bash script file say script.sh and suppose the text file be test.txt

CODE:

cat is used to open file

&& is used to chain two commands

ls is used to list information about a file and -l  flag is used to specify long list format for ls

long list format includes

  • File type
  • Permissions
  • Number of links to the file
  • File owner
  • File group
  • File size
  • Last modification time
  • File name

SAMPLE FILE: test.txt

OUTPUT:
