Yes, Random Sampling can be used for Qualitative Research.
Let us first understand, what is Qualitative and Quantitative Research?
The difference in sampling strategies between quantitative and qualitative research study is due to the different goals of each research approach. Quantitative research seeks to infer from a sample to a population. In general, you want to include a variety of types of people in a quantitative study so that it generalises beyond those in the study. Thus the goal of quantitative can be stated as EMPIRICAL generalisation to many. Qualitative research, typically starts with a specific group, type of individuals, events. The goal of qualitative approach can be stated as IN-DEPTH UNDERSTANDING.
Purposeful Random Sampling:
The strategy adds credibility to a sample when the potential purposeful sample is larger than one can handle. While this is a type of random sampling, it uses small sample sizes, thus the goal is credibility, not representative or the ability to generalise. For example if you want to study clients at a drug rehabilitation program, you may randomly select 10 to 300 current cases. This reduce judgement within a purposeful category, because the cases are picked randomly and without regard to the program.

8. Would it be possible to use random sampling in qualitative research? Would it be desirable?...
Consider a research question on HIV or Pre-exposure prophylaxis and what qualitative method you would use to answer that question. How would you structure that research project? What sampling framework would you use to recruit participants? Why would this be the appropriate strategy? What data would result from this study? What design considerations or limitations might you need to overcome?
For the Research Sampling section summarize What is sampling and why is sampling important. One sampling strategy used in quantitative research. One other sampling strategy that you learned. For the Credible Nursing Practice section, summarize How research can help to make nursing practice safe. Why research is critical for creating an evidence-based nursing practice. These answers need to be lenghty and not a short answer please i need at least a paragraph about research sampling and the second two questions.
the importance of qualitative research, one type of qualitative research, explain one important feature of this type of design. how qualitative research can help improve nursing practice
What is the difference between qualitative and quantitative research sampling strategies? Compare and contrast the strategies and describe some of the advantages and disadvantages of each.
How does sampling techniques differ between qualitative and quantitative research ? what are the disadvsntages and advantages of these samoling techniques ? References please
USING EXAMPLES, comoare and contrast the sampling strategies of qualitative versus quantitative research designs . Describe some advanrtages
Identify and discuss two major ways in which qualitative research differs from quantitative research. Is one better than the other? Provide reference(s).
Using what you know about qualitative research, briefly explain (one page): 1. How would you design a qualitative research study, with the goal of gaining an understanding of why parents allow their children to play football? 2. If you would use triangulation (and which type of triangulation), and if so why? THIS IS A PUBLIC HEALTH BASED QUESTION
what is the similarities between qualitative research and quantitative research and how to use the methods between the two.
The three types of qualitative research are phenomenological, grounded theory, and ethnographic research. What are the differences and similarities between two of the three types of studies? at least a reference
