Pericardium is the outer most covering of the heart.

This encloses the heart, and is divided into two parts /layers

The outer one parietal pericardium and the inner visceral pericardium. In between this is the pericardial space fullied with the pericardial fluid.

So the parital pericardium in one is attached to the visceral pericardium and on the other side to the body wall.
