Answer #1

Humans are the key species on earth. Humans practically influences most of the natural processes nowadays including climate change.

Due to rapid industrialization, deforestation, and pollutions the climate of the earth is rapidly changing. The main effects of climate change are inadequate or excessive rainfall in some areas, drought, melting of polar ice caps, harmful radiations etc.

These changes in climate are man made and influence the natural selection of various species.

As for example, due to inadequate rainfall in an area, the local populations will have 3 different options. 1) to stay in that area and adopt to the new climate 2) they can respond to phenotypic plasticity or 3) they can migrate to another location where rainfall is sufficient. Some species including plants will stay in the changed environment and some of them will eventually adopt to the new climate and natural selection will occur. Similar incident will occur in areas where excessive rainfall is occurring.
