For wireless networks, explain what the main components of a wireless network are and what side information may be added to the data to provide a reliable communication between these components.
In this question, we need to answer the main components of a
wireless network and the extra information is required to be added
for reliable communication
The wireless network can be defined as a computer network which is
mainly used to transfer the data wirelessly. The main components of
wireless network are listed below
End user device
The device which is used in the user end such as computers, laptops
or any other wireless devices such as monitoring device or bar code
scanner etc. These devices are actually used to transmit the sensed
data wirelessly.
Radio NIC
These devices are creating a bridge between wireless device and the
end user device so that the end used data can be transmitted to the
wireless devices via Radio NIC module.
Access Pointer
This kind of delves are mainly used to communicate between the end
user device and wireless device via a communication card.
Typically, software architectures mainly used to control the access
points while providing a wide range of management, security and
installation.
Routers
The routers are mainly used to transfer the data packet between the
networks. It mainly uses the internet protocol packet headers and
routing tables for estimating the best path for each packet. This
kind of system is very beneficial in small network
arrangement.
Repeaters
The repeaters are mainly used to regenerate the network signal to
enhance the range. In wireless network, the repeaters are not
directly connected to the wireless devices however it received the
signal and retransmit the signal after amplification.
Antenna
The last important part of the wireless network is the transmitting
and receiving antennas. In most of the cases, these kinds of
antennas are mostly omnidirectional antenna so that it can transmit
the signal omnidirectional way.
For reliable data transfer, once the data has been received, the communication layer is broken down the data in small segment and adds a header on each data segment. Once the above-mentioned operation are performed for the segments, the corresponding segments are transmitted.

What advantages does a wireless network provide Denver B-cycle? What challenges does a wireless network create for Denver B-cycle? What information not described in the case can Denver B-cycle use with RFID and LBS data? How could Denver B-cycle use other wired or wireless network technologies to gain a competitive advantage?
Why wireless links provide lower reliability compared to wired links? You turn on your phone and after few seconds you can see a list of available 802.11 networks. From the 802.11 protocol point of view, how does this happens? Ethernet and 802.11 are both data-link layer protocols designed for wired and wireless networks, respectively. Why a 802.11 receiver expects ACK reception while Ethernet does not have such requirement. Where CSMA/CD and CSMA/CA are used? and what are the differences? What...
