I need help answering this following question:

Would it be fair to indicate that black women were stereotyped as the least educated based off the statement in the article that states "prior to the emergence of Black Women Studies, the majority of research on women was primarily focused on their role within a family setting", and not on all her many duties carried out generally?

It is true that education of women and specially black women was a rare incident in history. Very few women were there in the field of academics. Their number can be counted on fingers. Main reason for their backwardness in the field of education was the stereotype involved with them.

They were considered as the weak organism. They were thought to be suitable for household works only. They were not provided fair chances to prove their capabilities. Education of women in USA also; was very limited. If a person is being suppressed for a very long time then this makes the thinking of person of downgraded quality.

Same thing happened with black women. They were continuously told that they were incapable and can not study. This thought became dominant in their mind and they considered themselves lower for all means. This created anarchy for their whole society.

Many women started fighting against the odds due to continuous suppression and they started to raise their voice against the evil system of society. Many voices became the voice of whole society. They started fight for their rights and in this manner they won several privileges.

In present time we can see that they have proven their metal in every field. Human capabilities can not be bounded in terms of sex and colour of the skin.
