Answer #1

B is the right answer. Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) would provide the best information about the observation of three dimensional figure DNA molecules. STM is used to image at atomic level; its resolution is 0.1 nm lateral resolution and 0.01 nm depth resolution.

Phase contrast microscope is wrong because it is used to study translucent specimen without being have to stain it and thus not used to study DNA.

Light Microscope is the wrong answer because light microscopy can be used to see objects as small as a cell which has a dimension of 10-20 micrometers.

Transmission electron microscope is the wrong answer because it is used to analyse tissue samples and its maximum resolution is 0.2 nm.

Please give a thumbs up if the answer helped you. Thank you! :)

    1. Fill out the following table by indicating which general technique (light microscopy (LM) or electron microscopy (EM]) could be used to observe each structure or phenomenon. Put "no" in the box if the technique could not be used. If light microscopy can be used, name one technique (bright-field, phase-contrast, fluorescence, etc.) that you think would be effective.
