Answer #1

In batsman mimicry a harmless palatable species mimics the appearance of a harmful species.. If a harmless species evolves to adapt the unpalatable harmful species appearance, then it will be mistaken as harmful by the predators and thus will be avoided by its predators. Hence they are safe.

In Mullerian mimicry two equally harmful species evolve to mimic each other. When two harmful species look alike there are higher chances of being avoided by predators. When a predator eats a noxious species, it will start avoiding it in future. Thus a similar-looking harmful species will also be safer from the predator because now the predator will avoid all the species with similar appearance because of its previous experience. So now both the species are safe from predators without doing much.
