When the design phase is considered then the purpose is to put in a plan for a solution of any particular problem and also to specify the requirement document where the designing of any of the system is mostly critical factor that would affect the quality of the software. This has put in effect while the testing and maintenance and also leads to several phases of the development cycle.

1. Planning phase – In this phase proper planning of the type of design are made for the further implementation of the project
2. Analysis Phase - The type of resources, the type of implementation, requirement analysis, type of tools to be needed and all are considered.
3. Design Phase – While in design phase the project would contain the designing of the project as per the user’s requirements
4. Implementation phase – In implementation phase the design is made and finally left with the review process
5. Maintenance and planning phase – The further testing, auditing, monitoring are done in this process.
