Web 2.0 and mobile technologies are the disruptive technology which helps in transformation of business from the traditional way of doing the business. In this case considering the kitchen re-modelling and designing the business, in such case web 2.0 and mobile technology can be well leveraged for communication with the potential customer it will help in engaging with large number of customers in the kitchen catchment area and it will be easy for business to communicate the improvement done in the kitchen and how good it’s look and feel is now.

What types of solutions would you implement?

Under web 2.0 a website which is SEO (search engine optimization) optimized for search engine marketing need to be created, while most of the target customers are more active on social media therefore presence on different social media like Facebook, Instagram can be explored for promoting the business in social media platforms.

Today mobile technology is also playing a very vital role in online business through the e-commerce in food industry it has completely changed the industry the way it used to operate about 15 years ago. Now each of the restaurants are listed on food aggregators platform where price, menu, booking, home delivery, payment everything is integrated in a single platform. Therefore for this kitchen also rather than making its own app it would be better to get the tie up with some food aggregators like uber eats, Zomato and dine out.

How would it be integrated to existing systems?

In order to integrate the same with the existing system the content management on the website need to be outsourced to some small agency which will charge a little amount to keep the kitchen own website updated and look & feel will be consistent with the kitchen’s look & feel.

For operating with food aggregators, they should install the application given by food aggregators for kitchen and they need to make sure that they are honoring their commitment and for the same they need to have a resource who will manage and fulfil the online orders or booking.
