1. The main theme of the movie is racism; however, this movie has highlighted how does a culture source based on the racism can create problems like racial in justice, Stereotyping and economical distress. Hence, we can say that the invasive theme was racism different stories which are interconnected on same theme tried to address the issue which arises due to racial discrimination.
2. Stereotyping as an additional theme in the movie which was very well portrayed through the story and its characters for instance, the wife of while DA’s accused a locksmith being the member of gang based on his background. The most difficult character which I found difficult to relate with was of father of the white Cop who lost is janitorial business.
3. The scene which affected the most was conflict of culture, where the comment of the locksmith about a dented door was considered as a plot for additional money by the store owner.
4. Yes, few critics said that this movie is actually re-in forcing the stereotyping, but we should remember that without showing the reality of society to most of the members of the society it is very difficult to bring the dark side of society like racism or stereotyping or cultural conflict in front of all the stakeholders of society and such thing when presented will force someone to think through it and will lead to positive actions which will reduce such racial discrimination.
