Building your LinkedIn Profile and Connecting with your Peers Set up your LinkedIn profile, using information from the worksheets in this chapter.
Connect (link) with other students in the class (and me if you would like).
Post your LinkedIn URL to the discussion board and give feedback on each other’s profiles, especially on whether they have strongly displayed their Personal Brand Statement and have used the WHI method to describe work experience and accomplishments.
Share tips and techniques that you figure out on your own as you sign up for LinkedIn and develop your profiles. See the text appendix for more on LinkedIn.
Don't forget you can use volunteer experience, extracurricular experience, athletic experience as forms of learning and skill.

COURSE: Career Exploration
In this discussion post, I would like to provide certain pointers on how to make the LinkedIn profile a better representation of one's brand
1) Use a customised background which is professional in nature and shows you're career interest. For example, if you are interested in analytics, the background could include code and data
2) Have a professional and clear picture of yourself
3) Clearly describe yourself professionally and also provide your career aspirations.
4) Include certifications and test scores.
5) Always provide a link to validate these certificates.
6) Also provide a description of one's volunteering experience if any.
I feel that these are certain points in which the profiles I visited could be improved upon

What an Executive Summary Is
An executive summary is a specific type of document that does
two things: it summarizes a research article, and it offers
recommendations as to how information from the article can be
used.
Some long reports can contain an executive summary section, as
indicated in the Pearson handbook.
