SOLUTION:

Fi represents the weight of the object (N) at equilibrium, which is given by:

Fi= mg

Where, m is the mass in kg.

g is acceleration due to gravity, g = 9.8 m/s2.

EXAMPLE:

For PART B, i = 0.

Given that, mass, mi= 885 g

We have, 1 g = 10-3 kg.

..m; = 885 g = 0.885 kg

Fi= mg = 0.885 kg x 9.8 m/s2

::F = 8.673 N
