Secondary prevention attempts to stop the disease process, restore health by seeking out unrecognize disease and treating it before any irreversible change takes place in the body, and reverse communicability of infectious disease.
Tertiary prevention- It is defined as " all the measures available to reduce or limit impairments and disabilities, and to promote the patient adjustment to irremediable condition".
It is used when the disease process is advanced beyond its early stage.
In this stage, we mostly focus on Disability limitation and rehabilitation.
