These leaders are also more skillful at being themselves and consistently. The leaders also maintain authentic consistency when they alter their behavior for responding effectively at times when the contexts vary. The article further goes on to reveal how leaders can use their unique traits for managing the many different tensions affecting leadership. These are also ways to be more balanced at expressing or withholding emotions, getting closer to the followers while maintaining the due difference, and maintaining individuality while also confirming enough. The article and arguments of the authors also emphasize the social nature of leadership and explore the subject of the leader’s attenuation to the expectations or needs of the followers.
