a) Cartesssian coordinate: Since the motion is only along one direction and this coordinate is much simpler than any other in this situation

b) cylindrical coordinate: Since the motion of acrobat is restricted along the wire and at some value of theta due to swinging on the rope so cylindrical is best suited.

c) spherical coordinate: Since submarine is submerged and is located at some angle below horizontal and can also move in any direction therefore to track its path spherical coordinate is best i think.
