Continuous Data:-If a data can take any value (Integer or fraction) between its minimum value and its maximum value, or in easy way we can say that the data can be measured. eg- Height, weight etc.

Discrete Data:-data that can only take on a certain number of values, or in easy way we can say data that can be counted.

eg:-number of students present, No. of children in a family.
