The drug currently known as krokodil was born in 1930s as desmorphine, which is a fast active alternative to morphine. During the 1990s the Russian doctors started noticing the reptilian patches on the skin of patients who were using the drugs.

This article states that this drug was manufactured at home level and called as nasty homemade narcotic containing desmorphine. It states that it started eating the myriad flesh of Americans with the drug abuse. In this article there are lot of controversial state nts wereby the drug analysers and medical professionals oppose each other with this scenario wereby a main article in international journal was removed by complete scientic critisicm and privacy reason.the article stated by two doctors that they had treated the patient with symptoms of desmorphine and published.

There was other report stating that the drug analysis doesnot show the presence of desmorphine..

Similarly few reporters stated it is true and few as just a imagery to bring about curiousness in the people.
