Answer #1

ANSWER

Allocation rate:

Allocation rate = Fringe benefit cost ÷ No. of employees

= $308,550 ÷ 51 employees

= $6,050 per employee

Allocation:

Division Allocation Rate x Weight of Base = Allocation cost
A $6,050 x 34 = $205,700
B $6,050 x 17 = $102,850
Total allocation cost $308,550
