6.Adolescence is an important period of nutritional susceptibility due to increased dietary requirementsas a result of growth spurt. Adolescence is the transition period between childhood and adulthood. Iron needs keeps on increasing as there is necessity for expansion of blood volume due to the result of intensive growth , muscular development, hormonal changes  including the onset of menstruation for females .Dietary sources must provide enough iron and, moreover, nutrients producing adequate iron bioavailability to favor element utilization and thus be sufficient for needs at this stage of life. The overall iron requirements increase from a preadolescent level of ∼0.7–0.9 mg Fe/d to as much as 2.2 mg Fe/d or perhaps more in heavily menstruating young women. So females are at need of more iron during adolescents eventhough both rely on iron needs.

a. Neither genders: Adolescence is a period of growth spurt so iron requirements increase . Neither genders is wrong

b. Both genders: Both genders require more stores of iron as there is increase in blood volume .But females have onset of menstruation which needs substancially high amounts of iron for maintaining reproductive health as these adolescent women are at risk for anemia.

d. Males: They also has more iron requirements but when compared to adolescent females their necessity is slightly decreased as they donot lose iron by any means.

7.A toddler is a child 12 to 36 months old. Preschoolers are between 2 to 3 years.Toddlers and preschoolers grow at a slower rate than infants. Large portions can overwhelm their small appetites and are too big for their small stomachs. Servings for these children should be a quarter to a third the size of an adult portion. Children do not need as much food as an adult.

a.Consume large meals: Larger portions of food may cause aversions in this age group. They require large amounts of all nutrients  grow and develop adequately.

b.Consume large portions of proteins:Adequate intake of protein is all needed for the age group.

c.Consume high foods in fat:   A diet with adequate amounts of fat enables children to take in energy in a limited volume of food as they have small stomachs and cannot eat large volumes.

d.Consume nutrient-dense foods:Pre-school children and toddlers need nutrient dense foods, providing a good supply of protein, vitamins and minerals to support healthy growth and development .
