A hot air balloon is 100m in the air and ascending at a constant rate of 3.50m/s. At the moment, a passenger throws a coin horizontally, relative to herself, with an initial speed of 18.0 m/s. When she lands where will she find the coin?

I am having a hard time accounting for the ascending portion as she throws the coin.

We are reccommend to use the equation bellow.
