Drugs and Pharmaceuticals have been a hot matter of discussion in the market recently making headlines as to the nature of profits that the pharmaceutical companies are making on the drugs which are not supposed to be sold at such high prices. Over the years, the humans have shifted from the natural therapies of treatment to the easily available drugs in the market, since these drugs are easier to find as compared to the natural therapies of treatment. In the due course of time, the drugs being made by the top drug manufacturing firms in the world have also evolved and now, very efficient and highly potential life saving drugs are also available in the market. The Drug manufacturers vary from firm to firm on the practicing of the combination of the same solutions. In the past years, drugs have become the lifeline of the common man, with drugs are now being consumed per day at a rate which is more than the food intake. This is alarming to the medical condition of the human race, which seems to be degrading with every decade passing by. People have become so dependent on drugs and their over dosage, that they are now ready to pay any amount of money to accrue the prescribed drug by the doctor.

                                           In this context arises the reference to the Pharmaceutical Industry which is referred to as one of the most profitable and fast developing and huge profit-making industries of the world. Drugs, being the need of the common man, is expectedly never going to be short on the demand side, and hence, the Pharmaceutical industry has been expanding on every front and in growing in huge proportion. With this growth of the pharmaceutical industry has been a corelated growth in the amount of huge profits that these pharmaceutical industry makes. It has lately been observed by many Governments of the world that the Pharmaceutical industry is also one of the most corrupt industries in the world, owing to huge scale corruption and false propagation of the drugs in the market. What has been observed, the pharmacies dominate the flow of drugs in the market at their own will by controlling the supply and price variation in the market. They seldom reduce the prices of the medicines when it comes to giving profit to the customer. Another alarming trend has been noticed in the case of the natural disaster of during the spread of a rare disease or an epidemic. The drugs which need to be taken during a disease or natural disaster or during an epidemic may be abundant in the market at all time with a nominal cost for them, however, the pharmaceutical industry , holds the availability of the required drug in the market for a limited period, thus raising chaos of the non-availability of those drugs when the people mostly need them. Then, they bring in to the market, an alternate drug, with the similar combination, but which is very highly priced. They preach the people that this drug is much better than the older one, it being manufactured by a very big brand firm. The people, who are helpless, have to afford the money to now buy the costlier drug, since a consumer cannot waste too much time during a disease or epidemic. In this process, the pharmaceutical industry makes extra normal profit by cheating the consumers. Many Governments across the globe have now started to impose severe restrictions on the pharmaceutical firms with an aim to stop this large-scale corruption and the loot of money from the people. There must be stringent regulations imposed on the pharmaceutical industry so that sale of drugs in the market can be controlled by the Government in a way that the poorer section of the society can afford the drugs which are critical to their livelihood at affordable prices.
