NHLPA is a union of hockey players in the country, whose ability to negotiate for collective bargaining, will decrease, because individual players coming from the European countries, are good & special talents and they will go for the individual bargaining so that they can fetch higher wage contract. After seeing this, top talents, now the part of the NHLPA, would also like to defect from NHLPA and go for the individual contracts that can bring more lucrative packages. As a result, NHLPA might become a union of average or low skilled players, undermining the ability of the union to negotiate.
