The cultural safety strategies can be planned in different domains with the key principle of making the cultural safety. These can be achieved in different critical components :The Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander people are called (ATSI) through out. #Domain 1: Country and community : It reinforces the relational practice of cultural safety for ATSI people and recognising and acknowledges the custodial links and obligations to country and community. OUTCOMES:# ATSI must actively involve in staff recruitment and induction programmes. # Cultural safety training modules are developed in collaboration with local community and ATSI. # Increased recognition of cultural differences and diversity is reflected in improved client satisfaction with the service. REVIEWED: Evaluated and reviewed by panel including ATSI, local community representatives, seniors of ATSI and supervisors. METHOD: Two way health care evaluation by constructive feedback. DOMAIN 2: Local Cultural Contextualise : Recognises and acknowledges the importance of engaging local ATSI community to gain insight into and understand impact of contact history and how it has shaped and influenced the life experience of people. OUTCOMES :# the inclusion of local ATSI voices at all levels of health care design. # Cultural difference and diversity is understood and incorporated into health services and programmes. # Relationship with local communities is improved and enhances. REVIEWED : By panel of committee members METHOD : Induction programme. DOMAIN 3: Recognising and valuing the role of ATSI people: This concept tells about blurring and as a result workers themselves often face personal cultural and ethical dilemmas which can lead to reduction in support and increase of burnout rates. OUTCOMES : # To improve access to culturally safe services. # Both must cater in practice across the health care system and within health care workplace environment. # Ongoing training and professional career development strategies that promote career advancement. REVIEWED : By establishment of panel that includes ATSI and community representatives to monitor cultural safety measures. # Reviewed also by the client satisfaction with health care. METHOD : peer mentoring, professional or clinical mentoring, local cultural mentoring. DOMAIN 4: Individual reflection : It is one of the defining characteristics of cultural safety as it requires individual health professionals to engage in mindful self reflection which caters in openly sharing knowledge and willingness to listen to others understanding and respect ting others view. OUTCOMES : Relationship among ATSI is improved and enhanced #Elimination and zero tolerance of racism throughout the health system. # programmes and processes that offer opportunities for all staff to share their ideas are provided. REVIEWED : By critical friends OF ATSI by conducting staff meetings. METHOD : Workplace surveys. DOMAIN 5: Collaboration and cooperation : It depends on the stake holders and professional organisations connected with ATSI. OUTCOMES : # promotion of the value of ATSI to wider community# An increased ATSI health workers with better access to education and training. # Programme and services to tailer and address diversity of ATSI. REVIEWED : requires long term evaluation. METHOD : workplace surveys, consultations, staff meetings. Thus all these can be done to evaluate and review with ongoing evaluations and constructive feedback
