We know that increasing the n value or sample size, decreases the standard deviation

because we know that the standard deviation is given as \sigma/\sqrt{n}

So, as we increase the n value, standard deviation decreases and when we decrease the n value, the standard deviation increases.

We know that the population mean is always at the center of the distribution, so when the standard deviation decreases, we move closer to the population mean.

This means that when n value increases, standard deviation decreases, which moves us closer to the population mean.

So, option D is correct answer
