Overview of physical activity environments
Physical activities and exercises are done at specific places. These are referred to as physical activity environments. These may include places like gyms, healthcare centre, physical therspy clinics, parks or gardens, rooftop or terrace, yoga centres.
Physical therapy environments play a major role in influencing one’s performance in physical theraly session.
The physical therapy environments should possess following characteristics :
1. It should be spacious enough to accomodate for all the physical activities and exercises
2. It should be easily accessible
3. The environment of the place should be calm, soothing and pleasant
4. It should have minimum or no distraction
5. It should not have any instruments or other things that might cause injury during physical therapy.
6. They should be safe and attractive
The physical therapy environments influence a persons performance in physical therapy to great extent. Attractive, pleasant and comfortable environments increases a person’s interest to perform and boosts up his energy level. This provides positive outcomes.

There are many ways teachers can incorporate physical activity into the school day. Physical activities can be built into math, science, and reading learning experiences.
