From the reaction,

1 mol glucose + 6 mol O2 --> 6 mol CO2 + 6 mol H2O

It is clear that 1.0 mole of O2 required to produce 1.0 mole of CO2 .

Thus, no. of moles of  O2 = no. of moles of CO2 = 0.318 moles (Ans)

0.318 moles of oxygen gas are necessary to form 0.318 moles carbon dioxide.
