Polar compounds are soluble in polar solvents while non-polar compounds are soluble in non-polar solvents.

K2S is an ionic compound and HF is a polar covalent compound. They both are soluble in polar solvents.

C6H12 and CF4 are non polar covalent compounds hence they are soluble in non polar solvents.

Water is a polar covalent compound while carbon tetrachloride is a nonpolar covalent compound.
