The legislative and the regulatory interventions plays an important role in preventing the mortality and morbidity of the population and the success rate is still not up to the expectation in some areas due to population lack of awareness and interest in implementing the possible outcome.
The interventions implemented in changing the unhealthy lifestyle behaviours started from individual intervention wereby individual takes the initiation in modifying his behaviour by adapting the healthy lifestyle. For example the awareness about the cessation of smoking in respect to reduce the respiratory problems here the individuals will have an opportunity to know about smoking its ills effects and how to quit it.. Other example is if patient is diabetic proper education regarding the diet to be maintained and exercises fir everyday in order to prevent the complication of diabetes. All theses comes under the individual intervention.
The next intervention would be community intervention wereby the whole population is aware of pollution and its effects and the awareness regarding go green is initiated but still not reached and success
The third intervention would be national level for example vaccinations and distribution of drugs in which they aware about the changes in the life style. A study was conducted David cutler on 17behvioural interventions what works and why available at www.ncbi.nlm.gov.in. He states that the interventions done in all the levels and the inspite not integrated with each other like if in community its told its community level intervention and not national level. Thus the legal and regulatory interventions are provided more but still not much successful.
