Scenario one: population of hawks and doves is equal. Hawk average fitness score: 5.75 Dove average fitness score: 3.56

Scenario two: population of hawks is 3x larger than doves. Hawk average fitness score: 4.3 Dove average fitness score: 1.5

Scenario three: population of doves is 3x larger than hawks. Hawk average fitness score: 10.75 Dove average fitness score: 4.6

a. what patterns are you noticing here, as far as which strategy maximizes fitness? What factor, based on this activity, could affect how "fit" a particular strategy is? Also, list two additional environmental conditions that could affect the fitness of the two strategies.

b. Lets assume the hawk and dove strategies are heritable. If the population starts with an equal number of hawks and doves, what strategy may over time become more dominant evolutionarily? Why?

c. Based on your data will this activity lead to the formation of an evolutionarily stable strategy? Why or Why not?

d. Think about the results from scenario one. For the strategy that ended up with lower fitness, propose a way for adherents of that strategy to alter their behavior to improve fitness. How could the hawk/dove make it's situation better in real life to maximize its fitness relative to the other strategy?
