Distance covered = ½ * acceleration * time^2

3.95 = ½ * 9.8 * t^2

t = 0.897 seconds (Ans- Part b)

Distance = velocity * time

Distance = 15.0 m/s * 0.897 s = 13.46 meters (Ans- Part a)
